Felix the Fox is a floppy mini toy with lots of texture for little ones exploring the world. This was the first toy I designed after watching how my daughter was learning to play with stuffed animals. The limbs reach out like a star and its easy for little hands to grab and hold onto Felix from any angle. Felix is both firm and floppy, perfect for waving around and exploring movement. His tiny shape invites you to stick him in a pocket if you need a comforting toy on the go or you can use the tag to loop onto a pacifier clip so he can stay with your little one on outings.
As always these are 100% plastic free. They are made with 3 different cotton fabrics: a terry cloth, a waffle knit, and a fleece so your little one can experience 3 different textures. He is stuffed with 100% wool.
Felix is named after a lovely friend who is turning 1 soon.

1. Vacuum
As a first step toys should be vacuumed with a nozzle attachment. Removing any dust or dirt before washing helps the particles not embed in fabrics.
2. Soak
Fill up a sink with lukewarm water and gentle wool detergent. You are likely used to toys that are stuffed with poly-fill--these never are. Poly-fill is very easy to clean, and easily bounces back. We don't use it because it is plastic. Cotton and wool filling needs to be washed very gently for it to keep its shape and not felt. A 30 minute soak is a good place to start. If you find the water is very dirty after a few swirls, empty the sink and soak again.
3. Rinse
Rinse under running lukewarm water. Do not twist or aggressively rub. Again, we don't want to felt any wool materials.
4. Dry
Squeeze but do not ring out the toy. Then place in a dry towel and press firmly. Let airdry in a well ventilated area.
***Do not put these in a washing machine, please!
